Graham
The first Graham accompanied David I to Scotland. Sir John de Graham fought with Wallace and fell at Falkirk (1298). The family became Earls of Montrose (1504). James Graham, first Marquess of Montrose, led a brilliant Royalist campaign but was executed in 1650. John Graham of Claverhouse, “Bonnie Dundee,” won at Killiecrankie (1689) but died of wounds. A clan of warriors, from Falkirk to the Jacobite risings.
