Henderson
Clan Henderson three separate origins. In the Borders, “sons of Henry” became Hendersons of Fordell, whose Alexander Henderson drafted the National Covenant (1638). In Glencoe, Hendersons descend from a Pictish prince and later served as bodyguards to the Macdonalds. In Caithness, a younger son of Clan Gunn founded a Henderson sept. Three distinct bloodlines, united by name. A clan of covenanters, bodyguards, and northern chiefs.
