Inspired by a unique seventh-century Pictish stone from Inverurie Kirkyard, the only known example of a horse used as a Pictish symbol, this brooch features three stylised horses within intricate Celtic knotwork. The original carving, with its clean‑limbed, high‑stepping animal and fine scrollwork, remains one of early Scotland’s most enigmatic treasures. This 3” plaid brooch is ideal for securing and weighting a fly plaid, allowing your tartan to drape elegantly. Hand‑cast and hand‑finished from 100% lead‑free pewter in our Glasgow workshop.
